Sound! Euphonium Pilgrimage 4: Keihan Uji, Uji Bridge, Mount Daikichi
With the music of 'Sound! Euphonium' echoing in my ears, I embarked on a journey to Uji. Imagining Kumiko Oumae and her friends having once walked this land, my heart was filled with anticipation. The murmuring waters of the Uji River and the ancient aura of Uji Bridge all seem to tell tales of youth. I want to measure those familiar scenes from the anime with my own steps, to feel the unique tranquility and beauty of Uji, letting memories intertwine with reality, composing my own pilgrimage symphony.
Strolling through the streets of Uji, I felt an atmosphere distinctly different from that of a bustling city. There's no fast-paced life here, only time flowing slowly. Walking across Uji Bridge, feeling the marks of time on its structure, it's as if I could hear Kumiko and her friends' laughter. Looking up at Mt. Daikichi, imagining them sweating and chasing their dreams there, my heart was filled with emotion. A pilgrimage to sacred sites is not just about finding scenes from anime; it's a journey of the soul, a dialogue with youth.
